I sympathise with my more shy subjects as I have always felt more comfortable behind the lens, rather than in front of it, since I got my first camera at the age of eight!

After completing a BA Hons degree at the University of Plymouth in 2003, I went on to launch Ruth Garner Photography. Since then I have witnessed hundreds of weddings, photographed newborns and families, and shot photographic assignments throughout the UK and all over the world.

I have built a reputation for having an acute attention to detail, fantastic service and a love of my clients. My belief is that your wedding day will pass you by in such a flash that you should only be concerned with having a good time. As such, you can leave the worry of your photos to me, safe in the knowledge that I’ve got my eye on everything.

My informal yet professional style of photography creates candid and natural reportage shots of your day. I take a relaxed approach to wedding and portrait photography, ensuring that you feel at ease in order to capture real moments and feelings.

I have a gorgeous toddler who keeps me on my toes too.
